The Nigeria Premier Football League, NPFL, has acknowledged Bendel Insurance’s protest over Rangers’ controversial goal in the rescheduled matchday 9 fixture.
The league acknowledged the protest in a short statement on their X account on Friday.
DAILY POST recalls that Bendel Insurance had protested that Rangers’ winning goal was scored while the goalpost’s crossbar was displaced and that play should have been stopped.
After reviewing the video evidence, the NPFL agreed with the club’s grievance.
The NPFL, however, referred the decision to the Nigeria Football Federation Referees Appointment Committee for review.
The committee is expected to communicate its decision on the protest to the NPFL.
