Atlanta Dream forward Angel Reese set a new WNBA record in the Dream’s 101-86 win over the Chicago Sky.
Reese grabbed her 500th rebound of the 2026 WNBA season in an emphatic win over her former team, the Chicago Sky.

Reese dominated on both ends of the court, establishing her credentials as a potential Defensive Player of the Year winner and an All-WNBA team nominee.
Reese gave an on-court interview after the win over the Sky, making it clear that she has lofty goals while playing for the Dream, including more broken records and multiple championships won.
“I’m not satisfied. This is just the beginning. This is the start. This is year three for me. I mean, I want to be in a league for a good amount of time. I want to win championships. I want to break records.”
Reese also made her affinity for her current team clear in front of her home fans and the organisation that parted ways with her in the offseason after a troubled 2025.

“And I’m just happy to be in Atlanta. I want to do it all in Atlanta. You see the fans; they come out and support and love us, so it’s easy.”
Reese is averaging 16.6 points and 12.3 rebounds this season. While she might miss out on DPOY to rivals like A’ja Wilson or Gabby Williams, she is a strong contender to earn her first career All-WNBA nod.
Reese put up 23 points, 10 rebounds, four assists, two steals, and three blocks in the win over the Sky, sending a message to the organisation that drafted her before trading her to the Dream in the offseason.
The Dream have a 28-14 record this season and have already secured their spot in the 2026 WNBA Playoffs.
