Ashlyn Henderson and Wrianna Hudson got on the scoresheet as Florida State soccer beat Wake Forest 2-0 on Thursday, Oct. 15, at Spry Stadium in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
The No. 24 Seminoles (6-1-3) outshot the Demon Deacons 15-12 and opened the scoring in the final moment of the first half.

Henderson found herself open on a corner kick, and she steered her header into the top corner with two seconds left in the first half. It gave FSU a vital lead heading into the break, and a well-earned one, having outshot the Demon Deacons 9-6.
The Seminoles allowed Wake Forest to maintain much of the possession, but limited the scoring chances. FSU found success on the counterattack and by pressing the Demon Deacons high up the pitch, which directly led to the second goal.
Hudson picked off an errant pass from a Wake Forest defender and drove goalwards. After taking on a pair of defenders, she uncorked a left-footed strike that nestled into the top left corner to settle the outcome for the Seminoles.
