Abubakar Bukola Saraki, ABS FC, head coach Festus Allen, has celebrated his team’s Nigeria National League, NNL, matchday one victory over Sokoto United.
ABS FC edged out Sokoto United 1-0 at the Rashidi Yekini Stadium in Ilorin.
Jamiu Ismail scored the only goal of the game.
Allen admitted that the encounter against Sokoto United was tough.
“I want to thank the players and the supporters for this hard-earned victory,” Allen stated in a post-match interview.
“ABS FC and Sokoto United were arch rivals in the past, as every league game is now always difficult for the host, but we were able to counter them and secure the win.
“I will say congratulations to everybody on the victory. As for the goal scorer, Ismail, he really proved his quality for us in the game.”
