Week 1 of the NFL season wraps up with a massive AFC West showdown as the Denver Broncos travel to Kansas City to face the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.
With Patrick Mahomes returning and Denver bringing in Jaylen Waddle to an already talented offense, there are plenty of intriguing player props. Here are four bets worth targeting for Monday night.

Walker is one of the most intriguing new additions in Kansas City, and the Chiefs have every reason to make him a major part of their offense immediately. His career average is 63.4 rushing yards per game, and he has topped 61 rushing yards in 33 of 62 career games.
The biggest reason to like the over is volume. Kansas City signed Walker to provide more explosiveness to its rushing attack, and he should see enough carries to get over this relatively modest number.

Waddle could be one of the biggest beneficiaries of his move to Denver. The Broncos have a more aggressive passing offense with Bo Nix, and Waddle is entering the season as one of the team’s most important weapons.
Since 2023, Waddle has averaged 4.3 receptions and 59.3 receiving yards per game, while his target efficiency numbers remain strong. More importantly, Denver has historically been much more willing to throw than Miami was during Waddle’s time with the Dolphins.

Five catches is a very reasonable number for a player who should see significant involvement.

Rice’s yardage prop is set at a number he can absolutely reach if Kansas City gets its passing game going. His career average is 64.3 receiving yards per game, and he has surpassed 60 yards in 15 of his 32 career games.

There are questions surrounding Rice entering the season, but the Chiefs still have plenty of reasons to get him involved. If Denver focuses heavily on limiting Kansas City’s explosive outside threats, Rice’s short-area ability could lead to plenty of opportunities.

Dobbins has an excellent opportunity to clear this number if Denver gives him the workload expected. A FanDuel projection has Dobbins at 66.35 rushing yards, comfortably above the 49.5-yard line.

The Broncos are expected to lean on Dobbins early, although R.J. Harvey and rookie Jonah Coleman could also see touches. That makes volume the biggest concern, but Dobbins has already demonstrated that he can clear this number without needing a massive workload.
