The sarcasm was clear. Jacobs had been arrested and booked on five charges following a domestic disturbance investigation, including strangulation and suffocation, battery/domestic abuse of a victim.
Jacobs has denied the allegations through his legal team, and the Packers issued a brief statement saying they were aware of the matter but would not comment further because it is an ongoing legal situation.

Burack’s point was that an arrest involving serious allegations should be treated as far more important than a player appearing at a political event.
Dart’s backlash began after the Giants quarterback introduced Trump at a New York event, used “Big Blue” language, and became part of a political moment that quickly split NFL fans.
That is the context behind Burack’s comment. He was suggesting that some people in the NFL treated Dart’s political appearance as a bigger character issue than more serious allegations elsewhere in the league.
