Celebrations for the Brewers’ historic win have been sweeping the city (pun intended), and the whole city is cheering them on – including some local arts institutions that have joined in the hoopla.
The Milwaukee Art Museum congratulated the Brewers on winning the pennant with a social media post captioned “SWEEP! SWEEP! SWEEP!” The photograph of three brooms from the museum’s recently opened “Shakers: A World in the Making Exhibit” was the perfect image to celebrate the Brewers’ 4-0 sweep of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League Championship Series.

The exhibit explores the design techniques of the Shakers, who invented the flat broom. In the post, the museum encouraged visitors to cheer on the Brewers as they head to the World Series with a visit to the exhibit.
