Micah Parsons is backing his Green Bay Packers quarterback, Jordan Love, to win MVP for one reason no one is talking about.
Since the departure of Aaron Rodgers in 2023, Love has ascended to being a top-tier quarterback for the Packers, putting in strong performances with each passing season.

Having sat under the learning tree of a four-time MVP like Rodgers, some have hoped that Love will reach the same highs as his predecessor on the Packers.

Speaking on his Bleacher Report podcast, Green Bay Packers star Micah Parsons explained why he is picking Jordan Love to win MVP.
Rather than any favouritism or bias towards his teammate, Parsons is basing his pick on Love’s ability to shepherd an underperforming offense, and his collaborative relationship with HC Matt LaFleur.
“I’m not going to lie; I’m going with Jordan Love (for MVP). Dark horse and MVP… 40 TDs, and I think he’s going to have over 4000 yards this year.

“There is going to be a time this year where maybe the offense isn’t doing well, and Jordan just completely takes over. That is what you want out of your quarterback: that full takeover.
“I see the way Matt (LaFleur) talks about Jordan. When the relationship becomes more than, like, ‘These are the play calls, you run them!’ to, like, ‘Hey, what do you think we get into here? What are you feeling? Hey, I trust you.’
“Even Jordan said, ‘I kind of see what he’s talking about. You have got to check the run. I was nervous!’ Just hearing that type of thing, you’re like, ‘He gets it, bro!'”
Last season, Love had a passer rating of 101.2 with 3,381 yards, 23 touchdowns and 6 interceptions in 15 games.

Love was top-10 in QB rating last season, and his six interceptions were among the fewest thrown by any starting QB in the league.
While his passing yards and touchdown numbers pale in comparison to some other top-tier quarterbacks, Love was instrumental in helping the Packers go 9-7-1 last season.
This season, with more experience and a better supporting cast, Love could make a genuine push for MVP while helping the Packers win 12 or more games.
