Inter Miami captain Lionel Messi clinched his second consecutive MLS Golden Boot award on Saturday.
This comes after the defending champions took second place in the Eastern Conference, following a 3-3 draw against Charlotte on the final day of the regular season.
Messi failed to find the back of the net, but he set up the first two goals at the Nu Stadium.
This result has helped Miami secure a home-field advantage for the first two playoff rounds.
Also, his 26 goals saw Messi become the first player to win back-to-back MLS Golden Boots.
Petar Musa of Dallas was second on 22, not scoring in his club’s 3-1 home victory over Colorado.
