    Watch: Melissa McCarthy Shares Rare Insight Into 20-Year Marriage With “Best Human” Ben Falcone

    Melissa McCarthy and Ben Falcone are still the life of the party—even after two decades of marriage.

    Ahead of the couple’s 21st anniversary in October, the Bridesmaids actress shared sweet comments about her long-lasting marriage with her husband and frequent collaborator.

    “He’s the best,” McCarthy exclusively told E! News’ Erin Lim Rhodes at Variety’s Power of Women event Sept. 23. “He’s the best human I know.”

    So, after nearly 30 years together, does the Spy star—mom to daughters Vivian, 19, and Georgette, 16, with Falcone—have any relationship advice?

    If there is tension before going to bed, McCarthy advises: “Don’t keep hashing it out.” 

    “If you’re not agreeing, don’t stay up and keep hashing it out when you’re tired,” she explained. “Take a breath. Take a beat. And most likely, when you’re both refreshed, you’ll be like, ‘It wasn’t that big of a deal!’”

    But arguing before they go to sleep doesn’t seem to be a regular issue for the couple.

    “We don’t get mad at each other that much,” McCarthy shared. “We talk too much. We get sleepy. Our house is like, we watch Vera and then we go to bed. Try it out, guys. Try it out.”

    And if anyone knows the secret to an everlasting relationship, it’s McCarthy, 56, and Falcone, 53.

    After all, last year, the pair—who began dating in 1998 and tied the knot in October 2005—celebrated a major milestone: their 20th wedding anniversary, with both stars sharing sweet tributes to one another on social media.

    “Twenty years ago today I got hit with a lucky stick!” McCarthy wrote the October 2025 Instagram post, alongside a photo of herself and her husband on their wedding day. “I married the love of my life and card carrying hypochondriac. Xoxo.”

    As for Falcone, he posted a solo throwback shot of McCarthy from their nuptials, honoring his “Mooch.”

    “20 years ago, this lovely lady agreed to marry me,” he wrote on Instagram at the time. “I’m so grateful she said yes – these have been the happiest years of my life. I’m hopeful for 120 more years together.”
