“The decision to postpone the game was due to a limited number of varsity players. We have a total of 24 juniors and seniors, 12 players are healthy and others are dealing with injuries or other health ailments,” McMahon Athletic Director John Cross said. “Postponing the game allows the team to get healthier. This allows us to be ready for our next game against Stamford.”
The Senators are scheduled to play host to Stamford on Friday, Nov. 6.
In addition to the Trumbull and Stamford games, McMahon’s remaining schedule consists of a game at Westhill on Saturday, Nov. 14 and the annual Thanksgiving morning game against cross-city rival Norwalk.
Norwalk has won the last two Thanksgiving clashes which annually draws large crowds.

The programs has been reduced in recent seasons by players transferring to prep schools or in some cases other CIAC schools, including Justin Daniel who is now the starting wide receiver for No. 2 ranked St. Joseph.
