Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé sustained a hyper-extended knee during France’s match against Turkey and while some reports initially indicated that he could miss several weeks, it looks like he will be ready to face Villarreal in Los Blancos’ first game after the FIFA break, according to a report from COPE.
Mbappé escaped a serious injury as France coach and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane told the press after the game that his injury “didn’t look good.” The French Football Federation then announced that he had suffered a tendon injury, with Real Madrid’s own medical team publishing the hyper-extension report on Saturday.

With a crucial El Clásico against Barcelona less than a month away, Real Madrid will need to make sure that Mbappé stays healthy and fresh during their next few games. In that context, seeing him getting some rest during one of Madrid’s upcoming matches would not be surprising.
