NEW YORK (Bloomberg) — Wall Street rallied on Wednesday, with the S&P 500 hitting a new intra-day high, fueled by fresh data suggesting the Federal Reserve may cut interest rates as early as March.
The Bureau of Labor Statistics released its December inflation report showing a cool-down to 2.4%, slightly better than analyst expectations. The news sent tech stocks soaring, with major gains for companies heavily invested in AI and semiconductor manufacturing.
“The soft landing is no longer a myth; it’s looking like reality,” said chief market strategist Marko Kolanovic. “Investors are pricing in a very favorable environment for 2026 growth.”
