PHILADELPHIA – A man and a 14-year-old boy were stabbed and a woman was struck repeatedly with a gun after a fight erupted at a family gathering following a funeral in East Germantown, police said.

Officers responded to a report of a person with a weapon on the 2100 block of West Grange Avenue around 12:17 a.m. Saturday.
A 32-year-old woman told police she had been attending a family gathering after a funeral when a verbal dispute escalated into a physical altercation.
Police said the fight involved the woman, her boyfriend’s 37-year-old sister and two other family members whose identities were not immediately known.
During the fight, an offender displayed a gun and struck the woman in the head multiple times with the weapon, causing lacerations.
Man and teenager stabbed
The woman’s 35-year-old boyfriend and her 14-year-old son attempted to intervene, according to police.
The offender then stabbed both of them multiple times. The woman also suffered a cut to her left finger.
All three victims went to Albert Einstein Medical Center on their own.
The 35-year-old man was initially listed in critical condition but has since been stabilized and is expected to survive. The woman and teenager were listed in stable condition.
What police recovered
Police recovered a 7-inch knife with a black handle and found a blood trail at the scene.
Investigators have not said whether a firearm was recovered.
