Ludvig Aberg cannot believe what is happening at the PGA Championship at Aronimink Golf Club this week.
Major championships often throw up surprises, but the leaderboard is unlike anything Aberg has seen before.

More than 20 players are within a handful of strokes of 54-hole leader Alex Smalley, including several big names.
Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, and Xander Schauffele are among the top players with strong chances heading into the final round.
Ludvig Aberg’s two-under-par 68 on Saturday improved his overall score to -4, putting him in a tie for second place.
Even though Aberg is within touching distance of the lead, he will need to beat dozens of contenders on Sunday.
The leaderboard is the closest Aberg has seen during his professional golf career, setting up a thrilling final day.

“My PGA Tour career isn’t necessarily very long at this point, but I’ve never seen anything like it. It’s very tight,” Aberg said.
“I think there are a lot of good players within striking distance going into tomorrow, and it’s a cool thing, I think, for the viewers.
“I think it’s cool to see that many guys have a chance to win a tournament. But it doesn’t necessarily change the way you play this golf course.”
Aberg has suggested that the difficulty of the layout at Aronimink has resulted in so little separation between the players.
Everyone appears to be struggling at the same holes, with only Alex Smalley pulling away from the field in the outright lead.

Aberg continued: “I think the way it’s set up with a lot of difficult golf holes, a lot of strong par-3s and difficult shots into some of these par-4s, there’s not a whole lot you can do differently.
“So I think that’s why we’re seeing a tight leaderboard, but it also makes it exciting for tomorrow.”
Ludvig Aberg is looking to put his recent final-round struggles behind him on Sunday at the PGA Championship.
Aberg threw away a golden opportunity to win The Players Championship in March with a four-over-par last round.
The Swede is hoping that his “patient” approach will pay dividends in what could be an incredible spectacle at Aronimink.

“Yeah, it’s fun. There’s no denying that these tournaments are the big ones. These are the ones that we all want to win,” Aberg explained.
“When we do sit down and summarize a career, these are the ones that you want on your resume.
“I think going into tomorrow, it’s just a really good opportunity for me. It’s all about putting yourself in those situations to try to win them.
“Obviously, with a lot of guys within just a few shots, a lot of things can happen, but I also like this golf course in terms of the challenge with that discipline and patience.
“Depending on how they set it up tomorrow, I think it will be more of the same. I do like that kind of golf, and looking forward to tomorrow.”
