Watch: How Love Island USA’s Kenzie Annis Really Feels About Sincere Rhea Comparisons
Kordell Beckham is not backing Kenny Rodriguez.
The 24-year-old slammed his former Love Island USA costar after Kenny, 26, went on the July 20 episode The Journey Podcast to share his perspective on his 2025 split with JaNa Craig, including how he struggled with his mental health.
“Everyone just turned their backs,” Kenny said. “Kordell reached out to me, and that’s the one person that I have the utmost respect for.”
However, Kordell—who won season six alongside girlfriend Serena Page in 2024—clarified that he is Team JaNa.
“We not even gon get on how you sat on that podcast and lied the entire time, but what we not gon do is lie like I condoned anything you did/said,” Kordell wrote on his Instagram Story July 20. “After YOU called me I got on that ass and we haven’t spoke since.”
He added, “Shout out my sis Jana love you for life girl. And keep my mf name out your mouth I don’t fw you bro.”
During the podcast, Kenny shared his side of the breakup, alleging that JaNa wanted to continue their relationship when he asked that they be business partners. Though they decided to stay together, Kenny said they argued “every two days.”
And on the night of their split in July 2025, he alleged they had an argument in the car after going to a party in Los Angeles.
“We got to the hotel and I go to sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and my phone was off of the charger,” he recalled. “I was like half asleep and I remember saying her name like, ‘Where are you?’ She was in the bathroom.”
According to Kenny, JaNa spent the night going through his phone before waking him up to confront him about some allegedly offensive text messages. He said he then grabbed her phone and asked to go through it.
“She got up all in my face. She got physical,” he alleged. “And that’s the last day that I saw her.”

While Kenny said he later wrote her a letter expressing his feelings that their relationship “lasted too long,” he said he was disappointed with how JaNa depicted their split publicly.
“She makes it seem like this came out of [nowhere], like we weren’t having problems,” he continued. “This was difficult. I’m done with the verbal abuse.”
The Bronx native then traveled to Dallas, where he said he struggled with his mental health due to harassment.
“That was like the lowest moment of my life,” he explained. “I guess someone leaked my phone number and I was receiving like 20 FaceTimes a second. All I could see was these messages like, ‘Go kill yourself.'”

In response to the podcast, JaNa threatened legal action against Kenny.
“To the person who thought it was a good idea to send me a cease and desist, and then go on a whole ass podcast and make up straight f–king lies, very ballsy of you, how f–king insane!” she said in a video posted to her Instagram Story July 20. “But if you want to f–king play, let’s f–king play. I think you should give me permission to drop all the text messages. Why don’t we start there?”
Denying that she was “begging” for Kenny to stay, the reality star continued, “I spared you for a whole f–king year. I’ve been minding my business, literally focusing on myself and my blessings, and you thought that was a good idea?”
Though neither exes have shared the controversial text messages allegedly at the center of their split, JaNa’s best friend posted a cryptic message with “advice for women in relationships” one day after the breakup news.
“If you have access, go thru your mans phone TODAY,” Charmane Smith wrote on her Instagram Story last year. “Search keywords like ‘I don’t like black women, I thought I would get more money from this, I’m faking this relationship, going on the show would be for clout, I can’t wait to be done w this so I can f–k hella b—hes.'”
