Watch: Love Island USA Drops Contestant Vasana Montgomery Over Alleged Use of N-Word
Everybody and their brother are tuning in to Love Island USA—literally.
Because when host Ariana Madix introduced season eight’s first 10 Islanders (down from the original 12), there was something familiar about contestant Zach Georgiou.
The bombshell revelation? He’s the younger brother of season seven alum Charlie Georgiou.
“My brother Charlie was on Love Island last year,” Zach explained on the June 2 premiere, “and now I’m here to see if I can do better than him and find love.”
It’s been a minute since Zach has coupled up with someone, with him noting he’s been single for three years and has never been heartbroken.
“My last relationship—I was with her for four years,” the 26-year-old noted, “but then I think the love just faded out.”
And while Zach admitted his “pickup game isn’t the best,” he’s hoping he can find someone who lights up his world like nobody else with this one technique.
“If I’m talking to a girl, I do always bring up One Direction because it always works,” the reality star from Birmingham, England, continued. “But it’s real. I do actually love them. They’re surprised when I start spitting some ball knowledge about 1D.”
As for what Zach—who’s also listed superheroes and comics among his interests—is looking for in a partner, he says he wants a “fun, cool American girl.”
Plus, “My girlfriend needs to love my cat,” he added, “or else she’s out the door, 100 percent.”
Zach also let this cat out of the bag. “In bed, I do love an alpha woman,” he said. “Push me down, take control, do you know what I mean? Partly as well because I’m lowkey lazy, so I just can’t be asked to do it. Probably shouldn’t say that. I’m not lazy! Cut that.”
However, Zach wasn’t going to cut out his preparation for the show, noting he dieted, hit the gym and did “the full everything shave.”
“You know, legs, arms, chest, bum,” he detailed. “You gotta be sleek in the villa.”

Ultimately, Zach is hoping that being “here at the start” of Love Island USA helps his chances of finding love—versus coming in on day two like Charlie last season. From there, Charlie formed a connection with Hannah Fields and then was sent home day 11 when she was coupled up with Jose “Pepe” Garcia-Gonzalez.
For Zach, he’s currently coupled up with Mackenzie “Kenzie” Brooke Annis.
“I like his accent a lot, and I like his dark features, and I think we have a lot in common,” she said. “We could have really good chemistry, so I want to get to know him more.”
And while Zach initially seemed happy about the decision, he later expressed some concerns, like how he has never dated a blonde.
“The chemistry’s a big thing—that need to want to actually be really affectionate—and that’s just not there right now,” he said. “I’m just going to see how it goes, and hopefully things progress and stuff. But it’s literally night one.”
Fans will just have to stay tuned to see if Zach and Kenzie choose to stay coupled up or explore other connections, especially after Zach kissed new bombshell Kayda Reese Bosse at the end of the episode.

No matter what, Charlie will be cheering him on. During the premiere, the 28-year-old posted a video of himself at a viewing party on Instagram Stories and wrote, “lets goooo.”
Now, let’s go get some behind-the-scenes secrets from the show, airing its next episode June 3 on Peacock.
