Watch: Kathie Lee Gifford Selling Jaw-Dropping Mansion for $100 Million: Look Inside
Kathie Lee Gifford is bidding farewell to her beloved home.
But the Today alum might be saying hello to a windfall of cash, too, as she has listed her and late husband Frank Gifford’s waterfront estate in Greenwich, Conn., for $100 million.
Kathie Lee and the Hall of Fame running back—who tied the knot in 1986—were living on a nearby farm with their young children Cody and Cassidy when they purchased the waterfront property known as Cedar Cliff for $7.8 million in 1994, according to property records seen by The Wall Street Journal.
Though she told the outlet in an email published May 18 that she and Frank weren’t originally planning to move, she noted of visiting the estate, “We gave each other what we call the ‘real-estate nod’ and acquired the home.”
After purchasing the 1930s Mediterranean-style mansion, Kathie Lee and Frank renovated the home and added a three-story wing, which included the primary suite, movie theater, home office and wine cellar.
“Had I never gone into show business, I would have become an architect/interior designer,” the former talk show host told The Wall Street Journal. “It has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember.”
The building now has eight bedrooms and stands at 15,000 square feet. It also has a tennis court, pool, poolhouse, private beach and dock.
“We also added a professional recording studio,” Kathie Lee added in her email, “where I continued my songwriting and broadcasting career.”

Plus, she and Frank used the space to entertain a long list of celebrity guests, including her Live With Regis and Kathie Lee co-host Regis Philbin and dear friend Hoda Kotb.
“I hosted Hoda’s 50th birthday party on our patio with our Today show family,” she added. “It seemed like we were always celebrating something.”
After living in the estate for more than two decades, Frank’s 2015 death prompted a turning point in the home. As Kathie Lee put it, “The house that had once seemed so full of life and of laughter and of music had suddenly gone silent to me.”
And while Kathie Lee said her 2019 move to Nashville was “the new beginning that I needed,” she emphasized, “I never stopped loving Cedar Cliff.”
Still, she shared it’s now “the right time” to say goodbye to the home.
