Liverpool disappointing season on the pitch has many supporters focussing on what could happen in the summer transfer window.
For many, the upcoming window represents the perfect opportunity to get Liverpool back competing for titles, but there is a lot of work to be done.

Several positions need to be addressed if Liverpool are to get back to their best and Richard Hughes and the Reds’ recruitment team will no doubt be hard at work identifying the best value targets.
Last summer saw the Reds pay out several massive fees, breaking the British transfer record twice and spending over £400 million in total, but that level of spending is unlikely to be repeated this year.
One of the players that Liverpool are considering is Juventus defender Andrea Cambiaso, but they are not the only side interested.
According to a report from TEAMtalk, the Reds will face competition from Manchester United and Arsenal for the 26-year-old who could be available for around £30 million this summer.

The Italian defender’s biggest strength is his versatility, with experience playing as a fullback on either side, a wingback on either side and also as a central midfielder.
This level of versatility will be a huge positive for Liverpool, who have struggled with injuries this campaign, and Cambiaso is a player who could fix multiple problems for the Reds this summer.
Right-back has been a particular issue, with Curtis Jones and Dominik Szoboszlai often being relied upon to cover and Conor Bradley out with a serious injury.
One of the club’s two left-backs, Andrew Robertson, is also leaving in the summer so bringing in Cambiaso to reinforce both fullback positions would be excellent business, especially for £30 million.

Liverpool will be looking for high value transfers in the upcoming window, and Cambiaso represents an excellent market opportunity if the Reds can secure his signature ahead of Manchester United and Arsenal.
