After one of the NBA’s most memorable runs, former New York Knicks point guard Jeremy Lin, the man responsible for “Linsanity,” departed from the Knicks as a free agent when New York failed to match the three-year, $25 million contract offer sheet he signed with the Houston Rockets.
Since then, speculation has surrounded his departure from the team, as many have cited his relationship with former Knicks star Carmelo Anthony as a contributing factor. Now, nearly 14 years later, there’s a chance that the two former teammates will clear the air.

According to Lin and the New York Post, both sides have been in contact with one another. Anthony has invited Lin on his podcast “7PM in Brooklyn” to discuss the fallout. However, Lin made clear that he’d like to discuss matters privately first, saying, “My desire is still the same. I’d like to have a private conversation before having a public recorded conversation. That’s my goal right now, to be able to have that private conversation. Would love, of course, to go on the podcast and talk about those things.”
Considering New York’s historic NBA Finals run, which currently sees them up 2-0 on the San Antonio Spurs, it would be icing on the cake for Knicks fans to see two franchise legends put aside their differences and discuss memories of the storied 2011-12 season.
