ZANESVILLE – The annual Licking-Muskingum All-Star football game is set for 7 p.m. June 12 at Zanesville.
Heath coach Tim Ward will be the Licking County head coach for the third time. He led Licking County in 2021 when it last won 29-18.

“I love doing it. By spring, I’m ready to get after it in football, and this starts it off. I love not only being able to coach our kids again, but the kids we coached and played against and spent time preparing for on film,” Ward said.
The Muskingum Valley leads the series 23-19, dating to 1982. Muskingum won 34-15 last year, its fourth consecutive win in the series.
Ten schools will be represented on the Licking County roster, including eight Licking Valley players, six from Johnstown and five from Ward’s Bulldogs.
“When I called all the players, only two skilled guys said they couldn’t play,” Ward said. “We have a lot of linemen. Our offensive line should be good and our defensive line really good.”
