LeBron James and the Philadelphia 76ers beat the Chicago Bulls, 126-107, on Monday night to improve to 7-1 on the season. Things are going about as well for the 76ers as anyone could have imagined two weeks into the season. Things are going so well, in fact, that James drank some mid-game wine.
James had run into the stands and crashed into a 76ers fan and made him spill his drink. James apologized and then grabbed the cup from the fan’s hand and took a quick sip before giving it back and running back onto the court. As you can see in videos of the incident, all the fans in the area absolutely loved it.

ESPN’s Kris Rhim spoke with the fan who confirmed it was wine. While he’s glad James is in Philadelphia, he took the incident in stride. With wine spilled all over him he threw the cup out and got another one. LeBron couldn’t have literally run into a cooler customer in this situation.

James finished with 15 points, seven rebounds and nine assists. With tomorrow off he might be able to enjoy his own glass of wine tonight. The 76ers next game isn’t until Wednesday night against the Detroit Pistons on ESPN.
