Watch: Khloe Kardashian Asks Kris Jenner to Stop Talking to Lamar Odom Over “Burned” Bridge
Khloe Kardashian is drawing a line in the sand.
Two weeks after she called out her ex-husband Lamar Odom for admitting he only married her for fame in his new Netflix documentary, the Kardashians star made it clear that there’s no way forward for a friendship between her and Lamar.
“Haven’t heard from him,” Khloe told her mom Kris Jenner on the April 29 episode of her Khloe in Wonder Land podcast, “The bridge is burned and I have no more rope left to throw over. Period.”
And she emphasized that her stance should also extend to her family members—no matter how forgiving they may be.
“We’re not talking to him anymore,” the 41-year-old emphasized to her mom. “‘Cause sometimes I know how you can get.”
But Kris, 70, was adamant that she had not crossed any boundaries.
“I have not made a phone call,” she told her daughter. “I would not do anything like that without telling you first or asking you what you wanted me to do in a situation.”
Khloe—who was married to Lamar from 2009 until 2016—then reiterated once more, “It’s not happening. There is no situation.”
It wasn’t just Lamar’s comments in Untold: The Death & Life of Lamar Odom that didn’t sit well with Khloe. The former NBA player also participated in press appearances after the doc’s release, where he insinuated that she exaggerated her role in saving his life following his near-fatal overdose in 2015. And according to the Good American founder, Lamar, 46, did another interview after she slammed him on her April 15 podcast episode, in which he allegedly doubled down on being with her for clout and fame.
“He was like, something along the lines of, ‘Yeah, that marriage made me more popular in the social media world,’” she recalled of Lamar’s interview, which she said her brother Rob Kardashian had sent to her. “I don’t think he would care really about me, clearly.”
For Khloe, it was disappointing to see him put his relationship with her family on the line. As she noted to Kris, “I would think he would be devastated to lose you, my sisters, Rob, just thinking how you guys would view him because he’s always been very sensitive about that.”
“But me, he was playing me from the beginning of the doc,” Khloe, who also appears in the doc, added. “It’s not like he is only doing bad press about me. He sat down and gave bad interviews about me in the documentary. So that’s where I’m like, ‘You asked me to be a part of something, and I willingly did so, and you’re just talking s–t about me? Let me know what we’re doing so I can have the same energy.’”
She then quickly clarified, “Although I wouldn’t.”
Though Lamar has not reached out to Khloe in the wake of his comments, a source close to the pro athlete told E! News on April 15 that he did press appearances for the documentary “because it was part of his agreement, not because he enjoys revisiting deeply personal chapters of his life.”
“For years, he’s been consistent in acknowledging Khloé’s support during one of the hardest periods he’s faced,” the insider continued. “He has said repeatedly that she showed up for him, took care of him, and played a meaningful role in his recovery.”
