The Florida State Seminoles need a quarterback in their 2028 recruiting class, which currently has four commitments. Luke Rubley, a three-star prospect, is one of their top targets at the position in the cycle.
He took an unofficial visit to FSU back in April, and he attended a camp in June. Per Kolby Crawford of Noles247, the 6-foot-3, 180-pounder is set to return. He’ll attend Florida State’s game this Saturday against the Clemson Tigers.

Rubley first got an offer from FSU back in June of 2024 when he attended a camp, and it was the first offer he got of the 18 he has. A month later, Rubley was in Tallahassee for their Seminole Showcase.
As a sophomore, Rubley had a good year at Regis Jesuit High School. He completed 60.8% of his passes for 2,084 yards with 20 touchdowns to five interceptions. He’s completed 60.4% of his passes this season as a junior for 1,969 yards and 17 scores to six interceptions. His 218.8 yards per game this year are the highest during his high school career.
Last week, quarterback coach Austin Tucker went to see Rubley in person while Florida State was on their bye week. It’s clear they’re upping their efforts to land him.
Rubley is the No. 407 recruit in the country and the No. 29 quarterback according to the 247Sports composite rankings. In the state of Colorado, he’s listed as the No. 3 prospect.
