    Kelsea Ballerini Shares Update After Chase Stokes Breakup

    Watch: Chase Stokes Debuts Cryptic Tattoo Weeks After Kelsea Ballerini Breakup

    Kelsea Ballerini is loving this chapter of life like she means it.

    The “Penthouse” singer—whose on-again, off-again romance with Chase Stokes ended for good in February—detailed her current era just over a month into her time living in New York City.

    “I’m loving this chapter of life because I’m being really intentional about being connected to myself,” Kelsea said on Today April 17, “and also being off the road right now.”

    “This is my first time not touring and being somewhere new, and making new friends,” she continued. “I just haven’t had the time to invest in myself like that for a while.”

    Although, she’s already teased the end of this era. The 32-year-old previously clarified that her move from Nashville to the Big Apple is “just for now.”

    “I’m not permanently moving,” Kelsea told E! News earlier this month. “I’m just there through the summer, and I’m loving it so much.”

    She continued to explain that she’s been loving “just doing stuff for myself” during her time in NYC.

    “I’m just discovering,” Kelsea said. “It’s so fun.”

    “I feel this resurgence of energy,” she added. “It’s been really nice, and I’m really excited.”

    And as for what’s on her bucket list for her time in the big city, the “Peter Pan” hitmaker has her sights set on her favorite food: pasta.

    “I’m on a mission to find the best spicy rigatoni,” Kelsea shared. “That’s my Italian, that’s my heart. I gotta go find it.”

    The country star’s exciting new chapter comes amid the end of her romance with Chase, who she dated for three years before breaking up last September. While she and the Outer Banks actor gave it another go in December, they went their separate ways once and for all in February.

    “This year asked you to shed layers you didn’t even realize you were still carrying. It brought endings you didn’t expect, lessons you didn’t ask for, and moments that tested your patience, strength, and faith,” a message Kelsea shared to her Instagram Story in February read. “But look at you. You’re still here. Wiser. Stronger. More aware of who you are and what you deserve.”
