Governor Agbu Kefas of Taraba State has announced that Taraba State Polytechnic will be fully relocated from Jalingo to its Suntai campus in Bali local government council by the 2027 academic session.
The governor made the announcement on Saturday during his visit to the institution’s Jalingo campus.
“The state government plans to consolidate the polytechnic’s academic and administrative operations in Suntai, Bali local government council,” the governor said.
The institution currently operates campuses in both Jalingo and Suntai, with academic activities spread across the two locations.
The proposed relocation is expected to centralise the institution’s operations at Suntai, marking a significant change in its campus structure.
It would be recalled that the relocation plan was initially initiated during the administration of former governor, Danbaba Suntai.
“The planned relocation is expected to require coordination between the state government and the institution’s management to ensure a smooth transition and minimise disruptions to academic activities,” Kefas explained.
