The Kebbi State House of Assembly has passed into law two amendment bills affecting the administrative and operational frameworks of two state-owned tertiary institutions.
The bills, the Kebbi State College of Health Sciences and Technology, Jega (Amendment) Law of 2025 and the Kebbi State College of Nursing Sciences, Birnin Kebbi (Amendment) Law of 2025, were passed during Tuesday’s plenary presided over by the Speaker, Salihu Maikasuwa Dangoje.
The passage followed the presentation of reports by the House Committee on Higher Education, chaired by Dr Suleiman Abubakar Fana.
Fana said the committee reviewed the bills and consulted officials of the two institutions before presenting its recommendations to the House.
