Watch: Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Make Their Red Carpet Debut as a Couple at Tribeca Festival
Katy Perry is lighting up like a firework.
Nearly one year after confirming her breakup with Orlando Bloom, the “Dark Horse” singer and her boyfriend Justin Trudeau made their red carpet debut as a couple at the 2026 Tribeca Festival in New York City June 8.
Ahead of the premiere of her concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour, Perry and the former Canadian prime minister posed for pictures together. At one point, the couple turned toward each other, leaned in and touched foreheads while they laughed.
Trudeau also stayed close by Perry’s side as she greeted fans and signed autographs, as seen in footage captured by E! News.
While the Tribeca Festival outing marked their first-ever joint appearance at a major event, Perry—mom to daughter Daisy, 5, with Bloom—have had many intimate date nights with Trudeau. Just last month, she shared a picture of herself holding his hand while walking the grounds at Coachella.
And though the “Roar” singer has mostly kept mum on her relationship with Trudeau, she has given a few subtle nods to him since they were first romantically linked in July.
Indeed, two days after photos were published of the pair sharing a PDA-filled vacation on her yacht in Santa Barbara, Calif., Perry made a cheeky comment about her new romance when a fan proposed to her during her London concert.

In response, she said, “I wish you’d asked me 48 hours ago.”
Perry also hinted at her past relationships with Bloom and ex-husband Russell Brand.
“London, England, you’re like this on a Monday night after a whole day at work and a whole day at school?” she asked the crowd. “No wonder I fall for Englishmen all the time.”
However, in another nod to Trudeau, she added, “But not anymore.”
