Watch: Kate Hudson’s Son Bing, 14, Is the MVP During Rare Red Carpet Appearance
Kate Hudson’s son scored extra points for being his mom’s No. 1 fan.
Indeed, the Running Point actress was joined by her 14-year-son Bingham “Bing” Bellamy—whom she shares with Muse frontman and ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy—for a rare red carpet outing at the Netflix show’s season two premiere on April 15.
The mother-son duo wore coordinating white outfits for the night out, with Kate opting for a halter dress with black embellishments on the neckline, while Bing wore a long-sleeved button-down and black pants.
As they posed for photos together, the 46-year-old kept her teen close, resting her hand on Bing’s shoulder while they smiled for the camera.
Kate and Bing also shared an equally sweet moment before the event. In a side-by-side photo shared to her Instagram on April 16, the How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days star stood beside her son and rested her arm on his shoulder. In the second pic, Kate playfully tickled Bing’s chin as he continued looking at the camera with a smile.
“Season 2 LFG!!!” Kate captioned the post. “Running Point is back on @netflix April 23.”
Bing is Kate’s only child with Matt, though she also shares son Ryder, 22, with ex-husband Chris Robinson, as well as daughter Rani Rose, 7, with fiancé Danny Fujikawa.
And though Bing rarely attends red carpet outings—his last public appearance was at his grandmother Goldie Hawn‘s annual “Goldie’s Love in for Kids” event in 2016—Kate did previously share that he was following in his parents’ footsteps by pursuing his love for music.

“My drummer baby,” the Almost Famous alum—who kickstarted her own music career two years ago—wrote in a 2023 birthday tribute for Bing. “From the first time he played the kick drum, to his smoother pre-teen drumming ways. He plays the drums like he walks through life, sharp, vibrant, caring, dedicated and always perfectly wild and unpredictable!”
But Bing isn’t the only child of Kate’s to show her some red carpet support as of late. Last month, Ryder was by his mom’s side as they attended the 2026 Vanity Fair Oscars party together.
The two posed for photos at the event, showing off their coordinating black outfits. And before going inside to the party, Ryder had some kind words to share about his mom, who was nominated for Best Actress that night for her role in Song Sung Blue.
“I’ve never been more proud of my mother,” he told Entertainment Tonight. “I have to say, I’ve seen my mom close up more than anybody…put in more work and more dedication and more time than I’ve ever seen in my life. And it’s just such a beautiful thing.”
