The Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, has excluded the New Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, governorship candidate in Kano State, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, from its final list of candidates for the 2027 governorship election.
Gwarzo’s name was missing from the list released by the commission, which features 17 candidates from different political parties.
DAILY POST reports that the All Progressives Congress (APC), Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and African Democratic Congress (ADC) are among the parties represented on the list.
The candidates listed by INEC include Gashash Mukhtar of Party A; Haruna Abdullahi of the Action Alliance (AA); Sharif Abba of the African Action Congress (AAC); Ibrahim Ali Amin of the African Democratic Congress (ADC); and Muhammad Abdullahi of the Action Democratic Party (ADP).
