The Cincinnati Bengals have accomplished something they struggled to do during several recent seasons, and that’s get out of the gate strong.
Joe Burrow isn’t interested in celebrating it yet.
“2-0 is not going to get anything done in this league,” Burrow said, via FOX19’s Jeremy Rauch. “We’ve got to keep going.”
Cincinnati enters Week 3 unbeaten after following its season-opening win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a 20-6 road victory over the Houston Texans.

The Bengals’ approach has looked different from past seasons. Burrow completed 20 of 31 passes for 207 yards and two touchdowns against Houston, while Cincinnati’s rejuvenated defense held the Texans without a touchdown.
Houston managed only 60 rushing yards and converted five of 17 third downs.
Burrow had struck a similar tone right after the win.
“We’re going to keep getting better,” Burrow said, per the Bengals’ official site. “It was a great win, we did some good things, but there’s a lot to learn from.”
Cincinnati travels to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 3 for its first AFC North game of the season. A win would push the Bengals to 3-0 and give them an early divisional victory.
Burrow’s message, though, makes the approach obvious.
