It’s been the Jeremiah Smith show for Ohio State against Ball State on Saturday.
The third-year wide receiver has been all over the field and already has two touchdowns, helping the Buckeyes take a 28-3 lead into halftime.

His first touchdown came off a beautiful throw from quarterback Julian Sayin. Sayin uncorked a deep ball to Smith, who easily beat his man for the score.
Smith notched his second touchdown just before the half when he made an unreal toe-tap catch in the back of the end zone. He even did the Heisman pose after scoring this one.

He’s a cheat code and has been one since he made his collegiate debut in the 2024 season. He has compiled back-to-back 1,000-yard seasons and came into this year with 2,558 receiving yards and 27 touchdowns.

Smith now has 29 touchdowns in his career, and there’s a real chance he surpasses 40 by the end of this season. He’s a top candidate to win the Heisman Trophy, and this performance thus far will only help his case.
