Robin Lundberg has recently been discussing the impact that Caitlin Clark has had on women’s basketball.
Clark made a name for herself with the Iowa Hawkeyes women’s basketball team before being selected as the number one overall pick by the Indiana Fever in the 2024 WNBA draft.

She has continued to shine in the WNBA, and holds the records for the most points and most assists in a rookie season.
Now, writer Lundberg has suggested it is ‘fair’ to say nobody has had a bigger impact than Clark on their sport.
When speaking to Yahoo Sports, he was asked: “Do you think that it is fair to say no person has had a bigger impact on their sport than Caitlin Clark has had on women’s basketball?”
The writer responded by mentioning some other sporting greats before then using a Jay-Z song lyric to help describe Clark’s impact.

He said: “I do think that’s fair. I mean, Tiger Woods had a massive impact on golf, and brought a lot of folks into golf, there’s no question about that.
“And obviously, you had Magic and Bird taking the NBA off tape delay, and then Michael Jordan coming in later and taking it to new heights.
“But I use a Jay-Z line from The Blueprint, ‘Michael, Magic and Bird all rolled in one’. And in many ways, that was Caitlin because not only did she do what Tiger Woods did, which was explode the sport, but she broke down the doors and the stigma around women’s sports.”
