Before we head to France for the last couple of weeks, a few stages take place in Spain, including today’s, which was won by Isaac del Toro of UAE Team Emirates XRG.
The 22-year-old just beat his teammate/former multi-time winner of the Tour de France, Tadej Pogačar, at the line, as it appeared Pogačar rewarded his teammate by giving him the stage win after a hard-fought race.
Jonas Vingegaard trailed just behind the front group that finished first, so he was able to keep the yellow jersey as the leader in the general classification race.
Stage three tomorrow increases to a 195.9 km (121.7 mi) race, which is considered a mountain stage.
