Iowa announced changes to its 2027 college football schedule on Thursday.
After the FBS Oversight Committee modified the football calendar last month, the Hawkeyes have adjusted in accordance.
Iowa and North Dakota announced on Thursday that they have agreed to move the date of their 2027 football game to Aug. 28, 2027. It will be the season-opening game for both teams. It marks just the second-ever meeting between the two programs. Iowa topped North Dakota, 40-7, on Oct. 9, 1926.
The Hawkeyes also host Ball State on Sept. 4, 2027, before traveling to Iowa State on Sept. 11, 2027.

Iowa’s nine-game Big Ten slate in 2027 features home contests against UCLA, USC, Michigan, Minnesota, and Maryland and road games at Indiana, Nebraska, Oregon, and Wisconsin.
Iowa (2-0) is coming off a 16-13 Cy-Hawk win last week. The Hawkeyes are the nation’s No. 20 team and are gearing up to host Northern Iowa on Saturday. Kickoff between Iowa and UNI is set for 3 p.m. CT. The game will be broadcast by FS1.
