The NFL draft is less than a week away, and still, there is no consensus on what the Tennessee Titans will do with their fourth overall selection.
For many, Notre Dame running back Jeremiyah Love is the leader in the clubhouse, but Ohio State linebacker Sonny Styles is quickly building some momentum. On Friday, that chatter became a little more interesting after NFL Insider Tom Pelissero dropped a free agency nugget on the “Rich Eisen Show,” which points to linebacker being a lot closer to the top of the Titans’ needs list than many may have expected.
“You could see Tennessee continuing to build up that defense. That could be the ceiling for Sonny Styles.” Pelissero said, “We’ve seen Robert Saleh in the past have big, rangy, inside linebackers. They were trying to get something done in free agency at that spot. Could Styles potentially fit in?”

Early in free agency, there was some chatter on social media that the Titans had interest in linebacker Tremaine Edmunds after he was released by the Chicago Bears, but that quickly fell silent when he signed with the New York Giants. While there was no indication that the Titans even approached the veteran linebacker, it was known that he has been a favorite of Saleh since he entered the league.
While that doesn’t mean the Titans will take Styles over Love, Arvell Reese, or David Bailey, it does point to the Titans having a real desire to add to their room.
