Taylor Swift‘s got a long list of loved ones she’d like to have at her forthcoming wedding to Travis Kelce. And while people may tell you she’s insane, if she’s got a blank space, baby, she’s going to write someone’s name.
“It’s huge,” she acknowledged of the guest list during an October appearance on The Graham Norton Show a copule months after she accepted a proposal from her guy on the Chiefs.
Sure, she may take it way too far, but, the 36-year-old explained, “I think the only stressful weddings are the ones where you have a small amount and people are on the bubble—and you have to evaluate or assess your relationship with them to see if they should be there.”
So when she takes her magnetic force of a man to be her lover, she’ll be including “anyone I’ve ever talked to.”
Including, apparently, her onetime bestie Karlie Kloss, who reportedly received an invite to the only event harder to score a ticket for than Swift’s Eras Tour.
Though, to be fair, Kloss, 33, checked that one off her “Wi$h Li$t” as well.
As Swifties know all too well, the formerly inseparable pair aren’t quite as close as they once were. But the super model-slash-entrepreneur proved the friendship was far from ruined when she attended the final Eras Tour stop in Los Angeles in August 2023.
“I mean, her music is classic,” the mom of three later explained to Yahoo Life. “She’s got so many hits.” And, if you’re curious, she never misses a beat when one 1989 bop comes on. Shared Kloss, “I definitely love ‘Shake It Off.'”
So, yes, she’s grown rather adept at anyone who’s gonna hate, hate, hate, hate, hate. But as for how rumors of bad blood between Swift and Kloss started, we’re examining all the deep cuts.

How Did Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss Become Friends?
Assuming it’d be enchanting to meet the model, Swift first served up an invite through a 2012 Vogue cover interview. Spying a photo of Kloss while at designer Prabal Gurung’s New York City studio, Swift proclaimed, “I love Karlie Kloss. I want to bake cookies with her!”
Kloss was sweet on the idea, tweeting in January 2012, “Hey @taylorswift13 love the @voguemagazine cover! Your kitchen or mine? :)”
Soon after, their friendship was officially on the rise, with the pair spotted together on the runway at the 2013 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, a BFF road trip the following March and at outings all around New York City. By the time Swift showed a Rolling Stone writer around her Tribeca spread for a September 2014 profile, Kloss had her own guest room complete with a basket of her fave Whole Foods goodies.
When Did Rumors of Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss’ Falling Out Begin?
For five straight years it was mad love between the 14-time Grammy winner and the Kode With Klossy founder. But by the time Swift began her Reputation era, it was clear they had problems and they didn’t think they could solve ’em.
With Swift’s penchant for delivering Easter eggs to her fans, they clocked a big one in the video for her 2017 single “Look What You Made Me Do.”
As Swift documented her hatred for an unnamed foe, she wore a t-shirt covered in a list of her friends’ names. And Kloss’ wasn’t there, though they checked it once, then checked it twice.
A source insisted to E! News at the time, “They had no falling out whatsoever,” blaming Kloss’ work commitments for her inability to claim her rightful place in Swift’s squad. And months after the Project Runway host told The New York Times, “Don’t believe everything you read,” she posed with Swift backstage at an August 2018 tour stop in Nashville.
And when asked about their supposed falling out during her 73 Questions interview with Vogue, Kloss insisted, “Taylor and I are still really good friends.” Still, Swift was conspiculously absent when Kloss wed Joshua Kushner in October 2018 and when she threw a second celebration the next June.
Where Does Taylor Swift and Karlie Kloss’ Friendship Stand Now?
To hear Kloss tell it, everyone needs to calm down. “Taylor has always had my back,” she wrote in a 2016 tweet, “and I will always have hers.”
Such was the case when Kloss double-tapped on a series of Instagram posts supporting Swift’s 2020 album folklore and shared her excitement for Swift’s future white veil occasion, liking her August 2025 engagement announcement.

Did Taylor Swift Invite Karlie Kloss to Her Wedding?
All signs point to Swift telling one of her oldest pals, you belong with me. TMZ reported June 2 that Kloss scored an invite to Swift’s wedding to the Chief’s star tight end.
And the depth chart isn’t exactly brief. As Swift told Norton while promising him an invite, “It’s gonna be fun.”
Along with more expected RSVPs like Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran and, of course, likely best man Jason Kelce, some unexpected names have indicated they’re ready for it.
“I’m hoping,” Prince Williamsaid during a May 22 appearance on the Heart Breakfast radio show of his chances to watch the culmination of Swift’s love story, “and I’m sure there might be an invitation around but we’ll see.”
As Swift busily works to pick out a white dress, just say yes to checking out all the details on her and Kelce’s impending nuptials.
