Liam Fitzgerald’s loved ones are expressing their grief.
The lifestyle influencer died in the early morning of Oct. 30 from injuries sustained during a motorcycle accident, his girlfriend Jamie Lyn Rinaldi confirmed. He was 29.
“He suffered severe injuries, and despite the efforts of those who tried desperately to save him, they were unable to bring him back,” Rinaldi wrote on Instagram on Oct. 31 alongside a photo of Fitzgerald. “There are no words to describe the heartbreak of this loss. This is an incredibly difficult and heartbreaking time of everyone who knew and loved him.”
“Please keep Liam’s family, loved ones, and everyone closest to him in your thoughts and prayers. Please give us the grace, love, and privacy as they navigate this unimaginable loss,” she continued. “Rest peacefully, Liam we love you so much.”
Fitzgerald, who boasted a million followers on Instagram and over 350 thousand on TikTok, was best known for his workout and wellness content, often also sharing motivational videos. In their own statement, posted to his Instagram on Nov. 1, his family honored the “shining light.”
“He had a way of lighting up every room he walked into, a personality impossible to forget, and a heart that loved deeply,” they wrote. “From family and friends to teammates, strangers, and people around the world, he inspired so many. He loved his people fiercely and would protect them with everything he had.”
Highlighting how important his work was to him, his loved ones detailed his passion for his content creation work, and what he hoped to achieve with it. They also didn’t shy away from the more difficult moments in his life.
“Liam had his own struggles, too,” the statement, signed Penny, Natalie, Dermot and Bethany as well as Rinaldi, continued. “He battled with alcohol on and off and knew it was hurting him. This is shared in the hope that his story reaches someone who needs it. If you’re fighting that battle, please stay strong, reach out to your loved ones, and ask for help. You don’t have to fight alone. Keep going.”
Emphasizing that he “never pretended to be” perfect, they noted how “Fitzgerald “always strived to grow and do better. He had dreams, ambitions, and so much more life to live.”

And now, they are left grieving what his next chapter could have been. “He had just turned 29. So many places to see, memories to make, and people to love,” the Fitzgeralds noted. “His life was tragically cut short in a motorcycle accident, leaving behind a heartbreak that words will never be able to describe.”
“His laughter, energy, accomplishments, and the memories he created will live on through everyone he touched,” the added before ending with a heartbreaking reminder. “Hug your people tighter, tell them you love them, forgive when you can, and never assume you have more time.”
As Rinaldi grieves, she was also candid about where she and Fitzgerald stood after facing some recent ups and downs, with her sharing a lengthy statement hoping to “clarify a few things so everyone understands.”

“Ever since I got to Florida, Liam and I reconnected,” the 30-year-old told followers in her Nov. 1 Instagram Story, alongside a photo of her and Fitzgerald. “He apologized, wanted to make things right, and showed me every single day that he was willing to put in the effort to change. I love this man, and I chose to give him another chance. I forgave him, and we were working on building something beautiful together again.”
And they purposefully kept a lot of this out of the public eye.
“We spent so much time together and chose to keep our relationship private because social media can be overwhelming, and we wanted to focus on us without outside opinions,” she explained. So, after privately working on their relationship, “Just a few days ago, we officially decided to be boyfriend and girlfriend again. We were happy, making progress and excited about the future we were building together.”
So, she’s still trying to make sense of this tragedy.
“Please understand that this is the hardest thing I have ever had to face. Losing someone you love so deeply and so suddenly is unimaginable,” Rinaldi shared. “My heart is completely broken, and the last thing needed right now is judgement, assumptions, or speculation about our relationship.”
She added, “I loved Liam with all my heart. What we shared was real, it was special and from day one, he had a place in my heart that nobody else could ever fill.”
