Brady Ebel, the No. 13 prospect in the Milwaukee Brewers organization according to MLB Pipeline, really knows how to reclaim the upper hand in a sibling rivalry.
Trey, the No. 25 overall pick by the Brewers in this year’s draft, took batting practice with the team and met with reporters. Brady, reporting for regular duty at Class A Wilson, went 2-for-4 and drove in four runs against Hickory. he followed that up with another hit July 18.
Brady has an .810 OPS this year with the Warbirds, especially impressive considering his slow start. He has eight homers, 52 RBIs and 26 stolen bases, and there’s a chance he someday shares a field again with Trey, who’s officially a Milwaukee Brewer.
Brady had a heartwarming reaction to Trey getting drafted by Milwaukee, with video posted by the Brewers capturing the moment Brady heard the news while warming up for a Warbirds game.

At the end of April, Brady had a .167 batting average and a .218 slugging percentage. He’s at .247 and .400 in those numbers today, and he has a 1.038 OPS in July.

The brothers were both in attendance in Philadelphia for all-star weekend, joining father Dino, the Dodgers third-base coach who also served as Bryce Harper‘s batting-practice pitcher in the annual home-run derby.

Class AAA Nashville (54-42) went 1-2 against Norfolk (Baltimore Orioles), finishing with a two-hit shutout July 19.
Class AA Biloxi (48-38) went 2-1 against Pensacola (Miami Marlins).
Class High A Wisconsin (48-37) dropped all three games against Quad Cities (Kansas City Royals), including a no-hitter loss July 19. The loss included five no-hit innings by 18-year-old Quad Cities pitcher Kendry Chourio, who is from Venezuela but has no relation to Brewers star Jackson Chourio. Kendry has a 2.11 ERA and is the Royals’ No. 1 prospect according to Pipeline. He was the second-youngest player in the all-star Futures Game last weekend. Emmanuel Reyes threw the final four no-hit innings for Quad Cities.
Class A Wilson (47-41) lost its two games this week against Hickory (Texas Rangers) and then started out with a six-run first July 19 before the game was postponed by weather.
The Arizona Complex League rookie-league Brewers are 25-32. The DSL Gold team is 18-14, and DSL Blue team is 20-13.

Coleman Crow was sensational in his start July 19, allowing just one hit with no runs in six innings. He walked two batters as Nashville held Norfolk to just the one hit for the game.
Tyler Blackhad four hits in three games, including a triple and RBI for Nashville. He has a .784 OPS at AAA this year, with a 10-game hitting streak and a 24-game on-base streak. He also made a great outfield catch July 19.
DL Hallworked one inning of scoreless rehab work with Wisconsin on July 19, allowing one hit.
Newcomer Colton Gordon worked five innings for Nashville on July 18, allowing five runs (four earned) with one walk, eight hits and five strikeouts. Gordon was acquired from Houston in the same deal that brought Lance McCullers Jr. to Milwaukee.

Tyson Hardin delivered a strong outing for Nashville on July 17, allowing just one earned run on three hits in six innings, with a walk and two strikeouts.
Though Nashville lost the game, Hardin continued to look like a pitcher the Brewers could rely on in an emergency this year. The No. 16 prospect in the organization according to MLB Pipeline has a 4.84 ERA between Nashville and Biloxi this season, but much of that was early in the season with Biloxi.

Since his promotion to AAA, he’s 3-1 record with a 3.41 ERA, a 1.07 WHIP, 55 strikeouts and 16 walks in 58 innings.
Made went 3-for-5 on July 19 with a three-run homer, finishing with four RBIs and a stolen base for Biloxi. He went 0-for-6 in his first two games last weekend with an RBI groundout and three walks. The 19-year-old Made has a .795 OPS at Class AA, with 10 homers and 27 stolen bases.
The 19-year-old shortstop with Wisconsin started the week going 3-for-4 July 17 with two doubles, two RBIs, a walk and a stolen base. He added another steal July 18 but finished the final two games of the weekend 0-for-6. He also flashed some leather with an amazing play at shortstop. He has an .845 OPS this year, with one homer and 21 steals.

The Nashville multi-positional standout hasn’t played in a game since July 7, battling a minor wrist injury.
The outfielder had another excellent weekend, going 5-for-9 with a double, a triple and two walks for Biloxi. He’s at a .997 OPS for the year with 12 homers, and that includes a .920 OPS in the 24 games since his promotion to Biloxi.
The third baseman had a pair of singles in 12 at-bats for Biloxi over the weekend, with two walks and five strikeouts. He has a 1.106 OPS for the season, 67 RBIs, nine steals and 29 homers. That includes a 1.077 OPS at Biloxi alone, with nine homers in 25 games.

Quero homered July 17 and got hits in all three games this weekend with Nashville and has a seven-game hitting streak. The 23-year-old is up to 11 homers this season and has a .777 OPS.
Leanders Matos is quickly becoming a name Brewers fans simply need to know. The 17-year-old shortstop has a 1.080 OPS in 113 at-bats with the Dominican Summer League Blue team, including an eye-popping nine homers and 12 steals. He’s on a seven-game hitting streak, including six hits in four games this week, with a double and a home run. He’s also walked five games in a row. Just like Alexander Frias, who briefly appeared on the Baseball America top 100 prospects in baseball before a fresh influx of talent from the 2026 draft, Matos has begun to get baseball-wide attention as a possible fast-rising star.

With many minor-league teams playing solely over the weekend thanks to the all-star break, the Dominican Summer League and rookie-league players took center stage. That included ACL standout Brailyn Antunez (No. 26 according to Pipeline), who had hits in five of six games, including a 3-for-4 performance with a double July 15. He added a triple July 16. The 18-year-old has a .906 OPS, with nine homers and 12 steals at Arizona.
Angeni Fernandez, just 16, had back-to-back multi-hit games for the DSL Gold team early in the week and has a .910 OPS with two homers and 16 steals. The infielder has five multi-hit games in July in 10 chances.
Frandy LaFond, a 19-year-old outfielder for DSL Blue, has a .933 OPS and a gaudy .446 on-base percentage in 78 at-bats. In his three games this week, he had six hits, including two doubles, with four RBIs, plus two steals.
Chase Bentley, a 2025 draft pick, allowed two runs on three hits in five innings for the ACL Brewers on July 16, with three strikeouts and two walks. He has a 4.85 ERA and 1.28 WHIP.
Working his way back from injury, J.D. Thompson made two rehab appearances with the Arizona rookie-league squad, going four innings and allowing one earned run on four hits, with five strikeouts and one walk. Thompson is the No. 14 prospect in the organization according to Pipeline and has pitched for Wisconsin this year, where he has a 5.40 ERA in six starts and 18 innings.
Of course, there was at least some action at the top levels of the minor-league organization. Luke Adams (No. 11 on Pipeline) homered July 17 for his 15th of the year with Nashville. He has a 1.033 OPS this season in 153 at-bats, with eight steals and a cool .412 on-base percentage. He has a .975 OPS in Nashville at-bats.
Braylon Payne (No. 12 on Pipeline) smacked his 18th home run of the year July 17, and he has a .959 OPS and .378 on-base percentage as a 19-year-old at Wisconsin. He finished that game 2-for-6 with three RBIs and a stolen base, then added another single July 8 and two more steals, running his theft count to 20.
Blake Burke (No. 15 on Pipeline) homered July 18 among his two hits and doubled in the other two games last weekend for Biloxi, just the latest in the power department from the first-round pick in 2024. Burke has a six-game hitting streak and has a .903 OPS for the season, with 21 homers, 66 RBIs and 22 steals. He stole two bases last week.
Bishop Letson (No. 9 according to Pipeline) had a strong five-inning outing July 19 in which he allowed no runs on two hits, with four strikeouts and a walk at Biloxi. Though he has a 4.28 ERA and 1.40 WHIP for the season, his ERA is 2.89 since May 30, in eight starts.
Josiah Ragsdale (No. 28 on Pipeline) had back-to-back multi-hit games to close the week, including a home run July 19. Though he’s more of a speed guy (28 steals this season), he’s up to 10 homers, and three of those have come in the 14 games since his promotion to Biloxi.
Handelfry Encarnacion (No. 30 on Pipeline) had two hits, including a double, plus a stolen base in a six-run first inning for Wilson on July 19 before the game was postponed by rain. He also doubled and had three walks July 18. The 19-year-old outfielder has an .818 OPS with 10 homers and 20 steals.
Alexander Frias (No. 27 on Pipeline) hit a grand slam July 18, a lefty-on-lefty no-doubter for the 18-year-old outfielder. He has a .764 OPS in 17 games since his promotion to Wilson.
Juan Martinez had a double among his two hits July 18 and hit a two-run single July 19 before the game was suspended. The 19-year-old shortstop has a 1.005 OPS at Wilson, with seven homers and 22 stolen bases. He’s flirting with a spot on the organization’s top 30.
The top levels return to a full six-game week, and all four are on the road.
The Arizona Complex League and Dominican Summer League rookie-ball teams will also be in action throughout the week.
