You’d be forgiven for struggling to choose Bayern Munich’s goal of the season, after all — they scored 182 in just 55 matches across the Bundesliga, UEFA Champions League, DFB-Pokal, and Franz Beckenbauer Supercup.
Out of nearly 200 Bayern goals, there are more than a few that stand out. Serge Gnabry’s top-corner rocket from a tight angle after nutmegging Hamburger SV’s Miro Muheim comes to mind. How about when Lennart Karl channelled his inner Lionel Messi, sending a left-footed curler into the top-left corner against Borussia Mönchengladbach? Perhaps Harry Kane’s low-drive screamer against VfB Stuttgart tickles your fancy? What about any one of Michael Olise’s trademark Arjen Robben-esque screamers?

While all of those goals were special in their own way, none of them were enough to earn the title of “FC Bayern goal of the season” — and there’s a very valid reason why. His name is: Luis Díaz.
You guessed it. The 29-year-old’s bamboozling piece of skill to keep the ball alive before blasting it past Augsburg’s Frederik Rønnow from a seemingly impossible angle has officially been voted as Bayern Munich’s goal of the season!
If you can’t remember Diaz’s stunner here it is again — although, a goal of that quality isn’t easily forgotten.
