Both Belgium and Tunisia will be contesting their final friendly fixture ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026 when they go up against one another in Brussels on Saturday. Barely a week remains before the Eagles of Carthage get their World Cup campaign up and running against Group F rival Sweden, while the Red Devils will face Egypt first up in Group G.

Tunisia came through qualifying with one of the best records of any CAF team and dropped a measly two points en route to topping qualifying Group H. Nonetheless, manager Sami Trabelsi was sacked in January following the country’s last-16 exit at the Africa Cup of Nations, and successor Sabri Lamouchi is only three games into his tenure.
The Eagles of Carthage have won just one of those three games to date and suffered a slim 1-0 defeat against another World Cup participant, Austria, on Monday. It’s worth highlighting that a porous defensive record has improved under Lamouchi; however, the team has conceded just once in 270 minutes during his regime.

Belgium boss Rudi Garcia continued to build positive stock with a 2-0 friendly win over Croatia on Monday, beating a side that has finished top three at each of the last two World Cups. The Red Devils are currently unbeaten in 12 and would be devastated to see that record run out so close to their World Cup 2026 arrival.
