Watch: Nia Sioux Shares Which ‘Dance Moms’ Costars She’s Still Friends With
If launching a relationship on social media is a carefully choreographed dance, Chloé Lukasiak knows every last move.
And when she shared a carousel of pics with her 7.8 million Instagram followers May 18, fellow Dance Moms star Paige Hyland was among those asking if the sixth slide—featuring the Pepperdine University grad holding hands with an unidentified suitor—was a big reveal.
“Soft launch???” Hyland queried, prompting Lukasiak to respond with a series of eye emojis.
That would suggest that the reality TV alum has found someone worthy of claiming the top spot on her pyramid. But regardless of her relationship status, it’s clear the 25-year-old—celebrating her golden birthday May 25—is livin’ off the dance floor.
Looking back at her five seasons under Abby Lee Miller‘s tutelage, “I was pretty naive,” the Pittsburgh native acknowledged to E! News in 2024, sharing that she didn’t fully grasp why she was being pitted against star pupil Maddie Ziegler. “I was always just trying to prove myself to my dance teacher. I was always like, ‘Why don’t you like me? I don’t get it. I’m doing my best. Why do you not want me to win so badly?'”
Though she spent years desperately trying not to be first loser, “it wasn’t until I was an adult that I was like, Oh, that was out of my control,” she continued. “I could have done the absolute best job in the world and it still wouldn’t have been enough. So there’s nothing I can do about that. That’s more so about other people than it is about me.”
And these days she rarely has to save tears for her pillow.
Making the grand jeté into the world of content creation, Lukasiak pirouetted her Dance Moms fame into a successful YouTube channel, a collection of partnerships and the New York City life of her dreams.
“I’m honestly just really grateful,” she insisted of her reality TV past. “Like, I can’t stop expressing my gratitude. Because every moment that I experienced on the show shaped who I am today. And I’m really proud of who I am today. And that wouldn’t have happened without that particular competition that was kind of manufactured between us and the intense negativity and the positivity in all of it.”
Of course, she’s not the only cast member living her best life as a soloist. See how the graduates of Miller’s Junior Elite competition team are still making moves.
