    Watch: Hayden Christensen’s Daughter Briar Reacts to His ‘Star Wars’ Performance During Rare Joint Appearance

    The force was with Hayden Christensen as he enjoyed a rare outing with his daughter Briar Rose.

    Indeed, the Star Wars alum stepped out alongside the 11-year-old—whom he shares with ex Rachel Bilson—for a rare father-daughter appearance at the opening night of the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art Sept. 19.

    “This is really special for me,” Hayden told E! News in an exclusive interview at the event. “We’re very happy to be here, and it’s a real treat to get to share this with my daughter.”

    And the outing was equally memorable for the tween, who shared what it’s like seeing her dad as Darth Vader on the big screen. As Briar put it, “It was really cool when I saw him up there.”

    As for whether her dad, who made his franchise debut in the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II—Attack of the Clones before suiting up as Darth Vader in 2005’s Star Wars: Episode III—Revenge of the Sith movie, will return as the iconic character anytime soon?

    “I would be thrilled to get to do that,” he said. “But right now, those are just rumors.”

    However, the 45-year-old noted “it’s been really heartwarming” to see the resurgence of interest in the OG movies.

    “It’s been a journey getting here,” he shared, “but it’s been really nice to see the affection that people have for those films now.”

    Though the event marks a rare sighting for Hayden and Briar, Rachel recently shed light on their family’s close-knit dynamic as well as the secret to her and Hayden’s “great” co-parenting relationship.

    “Ours is like a unique version of it, we get along very well,” Rachel told Kristin Cavallari on the Jan. 20 episode of the Let’s Be Honest podcast. “We do a lot of stuff together. A lot.”

    In fact, as she emphasized, “We have been able to keep it very copasetic and nice for her.”

    They’ve also been able to give her a normal childhood. However, Rachel, also 45, admits  Briar has made that part easy.

    “For my daughter, both of her parents are in the business,” the Hart of Dixie actress noted. “Especially her dad will get recognized, and it doesn’t even register with her. It’s kind of like it is what it is. She has a really good attitude about it, and I’d like to say not affected.”

    She added, “We’re just mom and dad, it’s definitely good.”

Because if I don’t accept and love their father, I’m rejecting a part of them because he’s a part of who they are always. He’s in their blood, and he’s in their psyche, and they exist because of him.”

    Zayn Malik & Gigi HadidWhile Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik’s split in 2021 made headlines, they’ve been able to move forward together as co-parents for the sake of their daughter Khai.  “Co-parenting is good,” the One Direction alum said on a 2023 episode of Call Her Daddy. “We have a really good relationship for Khai. She’s the main importance. So yeah, it’s going well I think.” As for their advice for other parents in similar situations?“Just keeping the importance of the child’s happiness at the forefront,” Gigi told The Sunday Times that same year. “You have a long life alongside this person.” And the fact that Khai “can be with both parents,” the supermodel continued, “makes me very happy.”

    Tristan Thompson & Khloe KardashianKhloe Kardashian is keeping up a co-parenting relationship with ex Tristan Thompson. However, the reality star has admitted that maintaining this bond with the basketball player—who was at the center of several cheating scandals during their time together—for the sake of their children True and Tatum Thompson hasn’t always been easy. “It’s way harder when you’re really mad at someone, it’s really hard to sit in their face in front of your kids and be like, ‘Hi!'” she told tmrw in January 2024, per People, later adding, “Trust me, that’s not how I feel every day.
