El Paso’s Stephanie Han will face England’s Caroline Dubois in a lightweight title unification bout on Feb. 20 at the Don Haskins Center in Han’s hometown, the two boxers’ promotional firm announced on Friday.
Han (13-0, 3-0), the WBA lightweight champion, arrived at this point by twice defeating Albuquerque’s Holly Holm on cards staged by Most Valuable Promotions.

Dubois (14-0-1) holds the WBC and WBO lightweight titles.
The Feb. 20 card is scheduled to be televised on ESPN and streamed on ESPN Select, formerly ESPN+.
“This fight is a dream come true,” Han said in an MVP news release. “I have the opportunity to unify titles in my division and get one step closer to becoming the undisputed queen of the lightweight division.”
Han, who has been trained throughout her career by Las Cruces’ Louie Burke, has not fought since her controversial victory over Holm in El Paso on May 30. Han won by majority decision, an outcome unpopular with the Holm camp as well as the ESPN broadcasting crew.

The Albuquerque Journal scored the bout 96-94 for Han, as did two of the three judges.
Han won the first Han-Holm fight on Jan. 3 in San Juan, Puerto Rico by seventh-round technical decision when the bout was stopped due to a cut suffered by Han. The El Paso boxer was well ahead on the scorecards at the time.
Dubois, born in London but residing in Miami, defeated Amelia Moore by unanimous decision on Aug. 29 in retaining her WBO and WBC lightweight titles.
