Here’s the club’s official statement:
“FC Barcelona and RCD Mallorca have reached an agreement for the transfer of player Guille Fernández. The Club reserves a percentage of any future sale of the player.
“FC Barcelona would like to wish Guille Fernández good luck in this new stage and thanks him for his dedication and professionalism during all these years at the Club.”
Guille was with Barcelona at the start of pre-season but was then part of a group of several players who trained away from the first team while their departures were finalized.
The youngster joins fellow youngsters Jofre Torrents, Tommy Marques and Hector Fort in leaving Barcelona this summer.
Barcelona are also hoping that Marc Casado will seal an exit before the window closes, while Guille’s cousin Toni Fernandez is set to complete a transfer to Serie A side Venezia on deadline day.
