Kano State chapter of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, got a boost on Thursday following the defection of the lawmaker representing Gwale Constituency in the Kano State House of Assembly, Hon. Abdulmajid Isa Umar Mai Rigar Fata.
It was gathered that the lawmaker defected to NDC after he failed to secure the All Progressives Congress, APC, ticket to return to the Assembly.
Mai Rigar Fata is currently representing Gwale Local Government Area where Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf hails from.
The lawmaker was formally received into NDC on Thursday by NDC chieftain, Rabiu Kwankwaso at his Abuja residence.
A former Vice Chairman of Gwale Local Government, Hon. Kabiru Sani Auwal Obi also joined the NDC.
