At trip to the state finals was on the line Saturday at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin, host of the IHSAA Regional. Center Grove (315), Floyd Central (337) and Franklin (339) are the three teams advancing to the state finals.
Batesville finished three shots back in fourth place with 342. Other team scores included Roncalli 353, Martinsville 355, New Albany 363, Bloomington North 392, Madison 406, Switzerland Co 409, Jennings Co 409, Franklin Co 411, Greensburg 411, Silver Creek 425 and Columbus East 439.

Batesville’s Alexis Gallagher (74) and Stella Maple (82 – via playoff) advance to the state finals as individuals. Roncalli’s Hannah Jansen (79) was the other state qualifying individual.
Other scores for the Lady Bulldogs included Grace Saner 93, Adelyne Koehne 93 and Makenna Moore 107.
Payton Bright led the way for Greensburg with a 97. Kahlen Adams was a shot back with 98. Taylor Gould and Ella Kate Stewart both carded 108. Haleigh Stewart finished with 111.
“While the girls know they left a few shots out there, they should hold their heads high. They battled through every hole, competed on the regional stage and represented Pirate Nation with pride,” noted Coach Josh Grossman.

The IHSAA State Finals will be Friday and Saturday at Battle Ground Golf Club in Lafayette.
Rushville
Saturday, Rushville’s Ella Tressler competed in the IHSAA Golf Regional as an individual at Edgewood Golf Course in Anderson.
Tressler carded a 96, which did not qualify her to go to the state tournament as the Lady Lions’ season comes to an end.
Teams advancing to state were Hamilton Southeastern, Lapel and Noblesville.
Individually advancing were Ressie Lemmon from Mt. Vernon (69), Taylor Morrison form Hamilton Heights (77) and Hazel Henke from Union County (80).
