It was even reported Saturday night that the Celtics “made an offer” to acquire the 10-time All-Star.
The Associated Press NBA writer Tim Reynolds said late Monday night that Antetokounmpo does indeed want to be sent to South Beach but has no idea how the situation will unfold.
“Your 11:50pm update. Giannis Antetokounmpo still wants to be in Miami, we’re told. But even he doesn’t know how this thing is going to end up,” Reynolds posted on X. “This has been your 11:50pm update.”
