As a busy mom of two, Preet wanted something beautiful but practical, and grey blending offers the perfect balance. Instead of constantly chasing her regrowth, we could soften the transition between her natural grey and the existing colour, creating a more effortless, dimensional look that will grow out gracefully.

For Preet’s colour, I used Goldwell Elumen, to create a custom grey-blend shade to balance the contrast between her natural grey roots and the previously coloured mids-and-ends. Elumen is a segment of the line that is a physical colour, meaning it works by depositing colour onto the hair rather than permanently altering the natural pigment. This allowed me to soften and blend the appearance of her grey without completely covering it, which creates a seamless, dimensional transition from root to ends. The result offers a beautiful, lived-in grey blend that feels natural, soft and low maintenance.

To complete the transformation, I cut her hair into a chic cropped French bob, designed specifically to elevate her overall look while enhancing her beautiful natural curls.
