The star jetted to Italy to attend the 83rd Venice International Film Festival to promote her new film, Place to Be. The movie, which co-stars Ellen Burstyn, Taika Waititi and Murray Bartlett, has been well received at the festival and earned a six-minute standing ovation.

While she’s known for her bare-faced approach to beauty these days, especially as she shares snapshots on social media from the expansive garden at her historic property in Ladysmith, Anderson has been lighting up the film festival red carpet with a rainbow of colourful looks.

On Sunday, the actor and Sonsie skin-care founder attended the 2026 amfAR gala wearing a bold, clementine-coloured gown by designer Veronica Leoni for Calvin Klein Collection. Anderson wore the spaghetti-strap satin ensemble with a matching floor-length shawl. She kept her glam classic and natural, with her trademark platinum-blonde hair styled in subtle, retro waves.

For her following red-carpet appearances at the festival, Anderson has gone from soft fluttering fruit-print dresses to a supersaturated pastel set.

For a screening of the film Place To Be on Wednesday, Anderson wore a strapless ‘taxi cab yellow’ long sleeve off-the-shoulder gown with blouson sleeves. The sunny-hued design hails from the Spring 19 collection from designer Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera.

The wisteria cape top features a high neckline with gathered detailing, giving a soft waterfall effect. Anderson paired the piece with a simple column skirt and a matching Violeta Consuelo leather clutch.
